John Swale is a poet who has performed all over Europe from the main stages of Secret Garden Party to Londons' Roundhouse and O2 venues to Glasgow's SWG3 and Cologne's Palladium.
A particular highlight of 2022 was a performance of his poem 'Nouvelle Orleans' to 6000 people at Paris's venue, Le Zenith.
Swale has performed on lineups alongside Kae Tempest, Roger McGough, Will Self, Harry Baker and Luke Wright.
Swale's poem 'Lynx Africa' was called "fabulous" by John Cooper Clarke and his poem 'sitting with my father' "Wonderful" by Kae Tempest.

Swale's poetic voice varies from the reflective and serious to the comic and surreal. He has had poems published by the Czech Magazine 'Foesie', Public Menace, Up yours Magazine and the Spoken World London Anti Hate Anthology.
He has had poems commissioned for the Artist Eva Suhajek's 'Four chambers of the heart' exhibition at the Lapidarium Gallery in Prague and for Matthew Robinson's short film on climate change 'Glacial Waters'.
